Ground Power System and Tether
Optional Add-on To Apellix Systems
The patented Apellix Power Wash and Spray Paint Systems are a safer, faster way to clean and coat/paint elevated structures. For specific jobs that require the drone to be airborne for hours or all day at one location, or a general option for the Apellix Spray Painting Drone (instrumental with coatings that have a limited pot life), we offer the Apellix X1 Power System.
Optional Ground Power System & Tether — All-Day Flight Capability
The optional ground-based power supply consists of a ground-based station and a 300-foot tether connected to the drone. The base station plugs into a generator or 240 Volts AC ground power supply with a 50A plug (NEMA L14-50). This system allows the drone to fly without relying on batteries, although batteries are on the drone as a safety measure in case of power interruption or failure.
The Apellix ground power unit requires at least 40A of 240 Volts AC power from a generator or a ground power source rated for at least a 40A load. If using a generator for power, it must have a minimum 10,000-watt continuous power rating. If you are unsure of ratings, consult a qualified electrician.
Unlimited Flight Time. Zero Battery Swaps
Our optional Ground Power System takes your Apellix drone’s performance to the next level by enabling continuous operation without relying solely on onboard batteries. Perfect for extended missions, this system keeps your drone powered directly from the ground — all day long.
How It Works
The Ground Power System consists of a high-performance base station and a 300-foot tether connected to your drone. Simply plug the base station into a 240V power source (NEMA L14-50, 50A) or a qualified generator, and your drone runs indefinitely while retaining onboard batteries as a built-in safety backup in case of unexpected power interruptions.
Key Advantages
Continuous Operation: Keep flying without downtime — no need to land for battery changes.
Long-Range Power Delivery: 300-foot tether supports flexible, extended work zones.
Safe & Reliable: Integrated safety batteries ensure mission completion even if ground power is interrupted.
Easy Setup: Simple plug-and-play connection from generator to base station, then tether to drone.
Power Requirements
Minimum 40A at 240V from ground power or a generator.
Generator must provide at least 10,000 watts continuous power for safe operation.
All connections use robust, industry-standard locking connectors for secure, reliable performance.

Safety First
While the Ground Power System delivers unmatched convenience, it is a high-voltage system that requires safe and correct usage. Operators should:
Inspect the tether before every flight to ensure proper insulation.
Keep components dry and prevent overheating.
Follow all operational guidelines and consult an electrician if unsure of power ratings.
IDEAL FOR:
Continuous coating and spraying applications
High-intensity industrial operations
Fly longer. Work smarter. Maximize uptime with the Apellix Ground Power System.
